Atlantic Spinners & Handweavers
The Atlantic Spinners and Handweavers (ASH) is a community organization established in 1970, providing a social atmosphere for weavers, spinners, and dyers in the Halifax area to meet, share information, and learn new techniques. The group meets on the second Saturday of each month at Scott Manor House, offering a variety of programs, workshops, and events, including hands-on sessions, fibre days, and demonstrations. ASH also hosts an annual exhibition of member's work and offers equipment rental and a library of over 600 books on fibre activities. With a focus on education, community, and creativity, ASH welcomes visitors and new members to join their social and informative gatherings. By fostering a sense of community and shared passion for fibre arts, ASH aims to inspire and support its members.
