Indigenous Diabetes Health Circle (IDHC) is a leading organization dedicated to promoting diabetes awareness and wellness from an Indigenous perspective. With a holistic approach, IDHC provides a range of programs and services, including diabetes education, foot care, and traditional wellness initiatives, to support Indigenous communities in Ontario. The organization combines traditional wisdom with current diabetes education, focusing on body, mind, and spirit to reduce the impacts of type 2 diabetes on Indigenous peoples. IDHC's mission is to empower Indigenous individuals with the tools, knowledge, and ability to make healthy choices and live free of diabetes.
