Association of Shotokan Karate (ASK)
The Association of Shotokan Karate (ASK) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the ideals of traditional Japanese Shotokan Karate, offering classes and activities for students of all ages. With multiple locations in Calgary, the ASK provides a supportive environment for individuals to learn and grow in the martial art. The organization also hosts various events and activities throughout the year, including the annual Christmas bowling party and volunteer opportunities. ASK classes resumed in September 2021 at Schafer Karate in Shawnessy, and the organization continues to serve the Calgary community. By promoting the values of Shotokan Karate, the ASK aims to foster a sense of community and discipline among its members.
