W.M.A.A.
The World Modern Arnis Alliance (WMAA) is an international organization dedicated to promoting and teaching the Filipino martial art of Modern Arnis, founded by Grandmaster Remy Amador Presas in 1957. With a focus on practical self-defense, physical fitness, and cultural awareness, the WMAA provides standardized training, testing, and certification for instructors and students, as well as organizing seminars, workshops, and tournaments. Led by Grandmaster Datu Tim Hartman, the organization has members and affiliates in 12 countries and holds an annual International Training Camp and Festival to bring together practitioners from around the world. The WMAA offers various training programs, including Modern Arnis, Kombatan, Panantukan, and Balintawak, which emphasize fluid movements, striking, and grappling techniques. By joining the WMAA, individuals can experience the rich cultural heritage and practical applications of Modern Arnis.
