AlgomaTrad
AlgomaTrad is a registered charity dedicated to building community through the celebration, sharing, and learning of traditional music, dance, arts, and heritage craft. With over 400 programs and events produced since 2004, AlgomaTrad has hosted renowned performers and artists, and is currently developing the year-round, environmentally-sustainable AlgomaTrad Centre on St. Joseph Island. The organization acknowledges the Indigenous Peoples of the lands on which it operates and is committed to reconciliation and collaboration. AlgomaTrad offers various programs, including the Seniors Building Connection through Skill Sharing & Arts and Culture Program Coordinator, which aims to engage rural seniors in heritage skills and arts. The organization is funded by the Government of Ontario and operates in compliance with Public Health orders and guidelines.
