Alberta Underwater Council

The Alberta Underwater Council is a representative non-profit organization for underwater sporting activities in Alberta, established in 1960, with the mission to encourage responsible participation in underwater activities while preserving the aquatic environment. As a neutral and independent body, the AUC represents the interests of Alberta's underwater enthusiasts to government, promotes dive safety practices, and advocates for underwater sports as life-long activities. The organization offers various programs, including scuba training, lake cleanups, and environmental conservation initiatives, with membership benefits starting at $20 per year. With a strong focus on volunteer involvement and community engagement, the AUC has accumulated over 40 tons of debris removed from Alberta's lakes and rivers since its inception.
