Edmonton Community Adult Learning Association
The Edmonton Community Adult Learning Association (ECALA) is a non-profit organization that allocates Alberta Government funding to support literacy and foundational learning programs for adults in Edmonton. Established in 1998, ECALA has grown its annual investment to $2 million, providing community-based adult learning opportunities since its inception. As a Granting Council recognized by the Alberta Government, ECALA operates on the traditional lands of the First Peoples, acknowledging their ancestors and caregivers of Turtle Island. ECALA offers various learning opportunities and invites individuals to get involved in its mission to create a community where everyone can learn and grow. With a strong commitment to adult education, ECALA continues to serve the Edmonton community.
