Storytelling Alberta
Storytelling Alberta is a charitable, not-for-profit organization that celebrates and promotes the ancient tradition of oral storytelling, delivering stories learned by heart through the teller's voice, facial expressions, and gestures. The organization features a diverse range of storytellers sharing personal stories, literary adaptations, epics, folktales, and historical narratives in various settings, including festivals, schools, and seniors' lodges. Storytelling Alberta also offers mentorships, workshops, and professional development sessions to teach others the fine art of storytelling. With a focus on community engagement and inclusivity, the organization provides a platform for people to share their stories and connect with others. By supporting Truth and Reconciliation efforts, Storytelling Alberta honors the historical and cultural stories of Indigenous people in Canada.
