Grande Prairie Regional Recreation Committee
The Grande Prairie Regional Recreation Committee is a collaborative organization that aims to promote and develop recreational opportunities within the Grande Prairie Region, fostering individual and community well-being through vibrant living and pathways to wellness. Established in 2016, the committee brings together municipalities, including the City of Grande Prairie, County of Grande Prairie, and Towns of Beaverlodge, Sexsmith, and Wembley, to provide guidance on recreation service delivery. By working together, the committee strives to create a thriving recreational community that respects the original caretakers of the land, the Beaver, Cree, Dene, and Métis people. The organization offers a range of resources and initiatives to support outdoor pursuits and community engagement. Through its efforts, the committee aims to make every outdoor experience a remarkable one.
