The Grande Prairie Friendship Centre
The Grande Prairie Friendship Centre is a Canadian organization founded in 1965 to empower Indigenous people in cities and bridge cultural gaps between Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities through programs and partnerships. Working with community agencies, they remove daily barriers faced by Indigenous communities. The GPFC aims to improve urban Indigenous wellbeing and self-reliance, serving as a leader in community development. Governed by a diverse board, the centre offers various events, programs, and initiatives led by dedicated volunteers. By joining the movement, individuals can contribute to a more inclusive and supportive community.
