Learn English Nova Scotia

Learn English Nova Scotia (LENS) is a licensed Canadian Language Benchmarks testing and counselling centre that helps individuals achieve their language education goals by assessing their English language proficiency and providing guidance on language classes and career opportunities. With a team of certified language assessors and counsellors, LENS offers various assessments, including the CLBPT and CLB-LPT, to help newcomers and adult learners place themselves in language instruction programs. The centre provides free English tests for newcomers to Canada and offers low-stakes assessments for literacy placement. LENS is committed to helping individuals understand their English language abilities and providing them with the necessary tools to succeed in their academic and professional pursuits. By partnering with LINC and other language education providers, LENS aims to support language learners in Nova Scotia and beyond.
