Open Heart Arts Theatre
Open Heart Arts Theatre is a community-engaged organization based in Hamilton, Ontario, that creates performances that connect and inspire through collaboration and environmental responsibility. By working with local organizations and Indigenous communities, they foster conversations and connection around shared responsibilities to care for the land, water, and each other. With a commitment to reconciliation and environmental stewardship, Open Heart Arts Theatre challenges traditional methods of theatre making and strives to make a positive impact on the community. As a two-year community-engaged project, The Lake Effect explores the relationship between humans and the natural world. By engaging with local artists and community members, Open Heart Arts Theatre aims to build a stronger, more connected community.
