Rural 60 Plus
Rural 60 Plus is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting socialization and staying active among older adults in the Thunder Bay area. Located in Kakabeka Falls, the Active Living Centre offers a variety of in-house activities, informative presentations, and regular luncheons, as well as sight-seeing outings. Membership is open to seniors 55 years and older, with annual fees starting at $25. The organization also provides grants and services-in-kind support to rural seniors, thanks to Ontario government grants and municipal assistance. By joining Rural 60 Plus, seniors can fill their retirement years with fitness, fellowship, and fun.
