Chess in the Library
Chess in the Library (CITL) is a non-profit student-run organization dedicated to promoting chess across Canada, providing a free and inclusive environment for players of all ages and skill levels to enjoy the game. Founded in 2009, CITL offers weekly chess programs in libraries across Canada, seasonal tournaments, and a range of activities, including puzzles and strategies, to foster a love of chess in the community. With a focus on accessibility and inclusivity, CITL aims to make chess a universal game that can be enjoyed by everyone. As a non-profit organization, CITL relies on volunteers to help run its programs and maintain its positive environment. By volunteering with CITL, individuals can give back to their community and help promote the benefits of chess for all.
