FIDDLEJAM
Fiddlejam is a Canadian organization dedicated to preserving and promoting traditional fiddle music as an integral part of the country's heritage. Founded in 2001, the group brings together musicians of all ages and skill levels to learn, share, and play Canadian fiddle tunes. With a focus on community events, Fiddlejam collaborates with the British Columbia Old Time Fiddlers Association to host monthly contra dances and hosts the annual Fiddle Fest, a two-day festival featuring workshops and performances. The organization also supports young fiddle players through bursaries and encourages the continuation of Canadian fiddle music traditions. By fostering a sense of community and promoting traditional music, Fiddlejam aims to preserve Canada's rich fiddle heritage.
