Blooming Boulevards
Blooming Boulevards is a non-profit organization dedicated to conserving Ontario's native pollinator species by creating bee-friendly projects, including boulevard gardens and meadow restorations. By increasing the number of nectar- and pollen-rich flowers, creating native habitat corridors, and replacing high maintenance turfgrass with low maintenance native gardens, the organization aims to provide food and habitat connections for pollinators. This approach promotes genetic resilience and species diversity, ultimately helping to strengthen local pollinator populations. With a focus on beautifying streetscapes and connecting neighbourhoods to nature, Blooming Boulevards works to create a more sustainable and environmentally-friendly urban landscape. By supporting the organization, individuals can make a positive impact on the conservation of Ontario's native pollinators.
