Chung Won Institute of Taekwondo

Established in 1980 and still family-owned, the Chung Won Institute of Taekwondo is dedicated to empowering students both mentally and physically through martial arts. Grand Master Won Kap Chung, a 55-year martial arts practitioner and 2018 New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame Inductee, leads the institute with a philosophy that emphasizes mental strength alongside physical prowess. The program offers a holistic approach including Taekwondo, Haidong Gumdo (the art of the sword), and Sorim Tai Chi, fostering a community where students can achieve their full potential. With Snoopy Day Care as an additional offering for children aged 5 to 12, Chung Won Institute creates a welcoming environment that nurtures growth and development in all its members.
