Kw'umut Lelum
Kwumut Lelum is a child welfare organization dedicated to safeguarding the inherent rights of Indigenous children, rooted in Coast Salish traditions and values. As a mandated child welfare agency, Kwumut Lelum works to protect children from neglect and abuse, promote cultural identity and family unity, and provide a safe and healthy environment for children to thrive. With a focus on prevention and early intervention, Kwumut Lelum offers a range of programs and services, including child safety, guardianship, caregiving, and family support. By walking together with Indigenous families and communities, Kwumut Lelum aims to promote cultural permenency and wellness, and to create a brighter future for children.
