Hands of Fire
Hands of Fire is a Toronto-based sculpture group for blind and visually impaired individuals, providing a safe and welcoming environment to express creativity through sculpting. Founded in 2013, the organization has been an official chapter of the Canadian Council of the Blind since 2016, fostering a thriving sense of community and encouraging artistic expression and social interaction. With a focus on tactile creativity, Hands of Fire aims to promote confidence and well-being through art, while maintaining a safe and inclusive space free from discrimination. The group hosts regular in-person sessions, allowing members to explore their artistic abilities and connect with peers. By embracing the therapeutic benefits of art, Hands of Fire empowers individuals with vision loss to thrive creatively and socially.
