Salal Sexual Violence Support Centre is a leading organization providing free-of-charge anti-oppressive, decolonizing, intersectional feminist support to survivors of sexualized violence in British Columbia. Founded 40 years ago, the centre serves women, trans, Two-Spirit, nonbinary, and gender diverse individuals, offering immediate crisis support, counselling, and justice assistance programs. With a new centre set to open in Downtown Vancouver, Salal continues to shift attitudes and beliefs about sexual violence through workshops and educational programs. As a registered charity, the organization relies on donations and volunteers to create a society free from violence.
