With a mission to provide year-round athletic competition, this volunteer-driven community fosters courage, joy, and friendship among its athletes and volunteers alike. Athletes ranging from 8 to 80 years old have the opportunity to participate in 18 core sports, experiencing personal growth and inclusion within their local community. By promoting respect, acceptance, and human dignity, Special Olympics Ontario stands out as a unique platform that not only enhances physical fitness but also opens hearts and minds towards people with intellectual disabilities, creating inclusive communities across Ontario.
