BC Movement Arts Society
The BC Movement Arts Society is a non-profit organization based in Sointula, British Columbia, Canada, dedicated to presenting professional dance performances and facilitating dance creation residencies and workshops in rural and remote coastal communities. Led by Mary-Louise Albert, the organization acknowledges the unceded Kwakwakawakw territories of the Namgis, Kwakiutl, and Mamalilikala Nations. With a focus on culturally underserved and economically depressed areas, BCMAS aims to promote dance as a means of cultural expression and community building.
