Saskatchewan Filmpool Cooperative
The Saskatchewan Filmpool Cooperative is a non-profit artist-run centre dedicated to supporting and promoting independent filmmaking in Saskatchewan, situated on Treaty 4 Territory and committed to a decolonial approach. Established in 1977, the organization serves the broader Saskatchewan Filmmaking community and aims to develop an awareness and appreciation of independent film reflecting the cultural expression of Saskatchewan people. As a cooperative, the Filmpool provides resources, workshops, and events to foster visionary filmmaking in the province. With a focus on community engagement and cultural preservation, the Filmpool has become a vital hub for Saskatchewan filmmakers. By supporting local talent and promoting decolonial practices, the Filmpool continues to tell the stories of Saskatchewan's diverse communities.
