Columbia Shuswap Invasive Species Society
The Columbia Shuswap Invasive Species Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to preventing and managing the spread of invasive species within the Columbia-Shuswap region, protecting the environment and economic future of the area. Working with government partners and community groups, they document, control, and educate the public about the seriousness and impact of invasive species. The organization acknowledges the traditional territories of Indigenous peoples, including Sinixt, Ktunaxa, Secwépemc, and Syilx (Okanagan), and strives to honor the land through responsible practices. With partnerships from regional and provincial organizations, CSISS delivers programs and initiatives to stop the spread of invasives. By supporting their efforts, individuals can contribute to the preservation of the region's ecosystem.
