PeerWorks
PeerWorks is a provincial organization that brings together mental health Consumer/Survivor Initiatives and Peer Support Organizations across Ontario, empowering them to provide a wide range of services and activities within their communities. As a collective voice, PeerWorks advocates for policy and planning changes, research projects, and system advocacy issues, with a focus on recovery-oriented care and community-based support. With a mission to amplify the unique voice of consumer/survivor organizations, PeerWorks aims to shape the mental health system towards a valued and supportive approach. The organization provides training and education opportunities, including the PeerWorks Peer Support Core Essentials Training Program, to equip peers with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed. Through its work, PeerWorks seeks to promote a culture of recovery and support, where individuals can thrive with the proper supports in place.
