Connection Dance Works

Connection Dance Works is a professional contemporary dance company based in Saint John, New Brunswick, dedicated to creating new work and fostering closer relationships with Indigenous communities. Operating on the traditional unceded territory of the Wolastoqiyik, Mikmaq, and Peskotomuhkati peoples, the organization honors the knowledge keepers and seeks guidance from elders and descendants of the land. As a hub for contemporary dance education and discussion, Connection Dance Works collaborates with multi-disciplinary artists and presents dance on a regular basis. With a focus on cultural exchange and reconciliation, the organization strives to develop a deeper understanding of the art form and its significance. By engaging with Indigenous communities, Connection Dance Works aims to promote a more inclusive and diverse dance scene.
