Aamjiwnaang
Aamjiwnaang First Nation is a thriving community of approximately 2500 Chippewa Aboriginal peoples, located on the St. Clair River in southwestern Ontario, Canada. As a First Nations community, our heritage language is Ojibwa, and our name, Aamjiwnaang, translates to "at the spawning stream". We offer various departments and services, including education, health, and community programs, all designed to promote the well-being and cultural preservation of our community. Our community is served by two main offices, the Band Offices and the Maawn Doosh Gumig Community and Youth Centre. With a strong focus on cultural sensitivity and holistic care, Aamjiwnaang First Nation is dedicated to providing a supportive and inclusive environment for all members.
