Lacrossing Barriers is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing opportunities for marginalized communities to engage in sports, physical activity, and skill-building programs. Founded in 2004 as the Autism Aspergers Friendship Society of Calgary, the organization has evolved to offer adaptive sports programs, including lacrosse, boxing, and rugby, tailored to meet the unique needs of its participants. With a focus on inclusivity and empowerment, Lacrossing Barriers aims to break down barriers and promote social and recreational opportunities for individuals from diverse backgrounds. The organization has experienced rapid growth, with participation increasing significantly since its inception, and is committed to developing more opportunities for marginalized communities. Through its programs, Lacrossing Barriers empowers individuals to reach their full potential and build a stronger, more inclusive community.
