AlgomaTrad is a registered charity dedicated to fostering community through the celebration and sharing of traditional music, dance, arts, and heritage crafts since 2004. With over 400 programs and events produced, including community dances, concerts, workshops, festivals, and its annual Family Camp, AlgomaTrad has hosted more than 250 nationally and internationally renowned performers, artists, and mentors. The organization is currently developing the year-round, environmentally-sustainable AlgomaTrad Centre on St. Joseph Island, which will serve as a hub for cultural exchange and learning. By acknowledging Indigenous Peoples and committing to reconciliation, AlgomaTrad ensures that its programs are inclusive and respectful of local cultures. Visitors can expect an enriching experience that celebrates tradition while promoting community engagement and personal growth.
