The Water Rat Sailing Club

Nestled beside Cherry Beach in Toronto’s Outer Harbour, The Water Rat Sailing Club offers a unique and inclusive environment for sailing enthusiasts of all ages. Founded in 1969 as a volunteer-run not-for-profit co-op, the club is dedicated to fostering a sense of community through shared facilities for various watercraft, including dinghies, catamarans, canoes, kayaks, and racing programs. With one of Canada’s largest Laser fleets, members enjoy affordable access to Lake Ontario while participating in diverse events and activities that promote both fun and skill development.
