Toronto Youth Wind Orchestra
The Toronto Youth Wind Orchestra (TYWO) is a charitable organization dedicated to providing life-enhancing musical experiences for young people through the study and performance of wind band literature. Established in 1991, TYWO offers a range of ensembles catering to musicians of all ages and skill levels, from elementary school to post-secondary players. With a focus on creating a unique musical training experience, TYWO annually supports approximately 200 aspiring young musicians. The organization is committed to preserving the cultural heritage of the traditional territories in which it operates, including the Mississaugas of the Credit and other Indigenous nations. Through its various programs and performances, TYWO aims to foster a love of music and promote musical excellence among its members.
