All Bodies Dance Project
All Bodies Dance Project is a Vancouver-based, inclusive dance company that celebrates diversity and community through innovative, accessible dance practices. Founded on the unceded lands of the Sḵwx̱wĂş7mesh, SÉ™lĚ“ĂlwÉ™taĘ”/Selilwitulh, and XĘ·məθkĘ·É™y̓əm nations, the organization aims to create opportunities for people of all abilities, genders, sizes, and backgrounds to practice, research, and create dance. By blurring the boundaries between community-engaged and professional practice, ABDP values the lived experience of movers and approaches accessibility tools and practices from Disability Justice as sources of generative artistic possibility. This inclusive approach seeks to dismantle assumptions and biases around contemporary dance, expanding the possibilities of who dances and what dance can be.
