BC Youth Parliament
The British Columbia Youth Parliament is a youth-run organization dedicated to promoting youth service in the community, providing opportunities for young people to develop public speaking skills and gain knowledge about parliamentary procedure through Regional Youth Parliaments. The organization also hosts Camp Phoenix, a 5-day sleepover summer camp for kids aged 8-12 who may not have otherwise been able to attend camp. Additionally, the organization hosts an Annual Fundraising Gala to support its operations and initiatives throughout the year. The organization's annual Session brings together 97 representatives of youth organizations aged 16-21 from across British Columbia for a week of service and leadership development. Through its various programs and events, the British Columbia Youth Parliament aims to empower young people to make a positive impact in their community.
