Mabel League
The East Van Queer Fastpitch League, also known as the Mabel League, is a 23-team adult fastpitch softball league based in East Vancouver, dedicated to creating an empowering sport atmosphere for lesbians, bisexual women, non-binary / trans folks, and women allies. Established in 1990, the league offers recreational and competitive divisions, with 18 games and two local weekend tournaments from late April to late July each year. The organization prioritizes inclusivity and social events throughout the season, while also recognizing the traditional territories of the region's Indigenous peoples. With a focus on community and empowerment, the Mabel League aims to provide a welcoming space for players of all skill levels. By promoting diversity and inclusivity, the league fosters a positive and supportive environment for its members.
