NOW Society

The NOW Society is a performing arts organization dedicated to creating equitable and safe workplaces, committed to supporting diverse voices and fostering inclusive environments. Based in Historic Chinatown and Downtown Eastside, the organization operates the 8EAST cultural space, hosting various events, workshops, and performances. With a focus on promoting cultural understanding and exchange, the NOW Society collaborates with local artists and communities to develop innovative programs and initiatives. The organization is guided by a strong commitment to social justice and cultural sensitivity, acknowledging the traditional territories of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm, Skwxwú7mesh, and səlil̓wətaʔɬ/Selilwitulh Nations. Through its various programs and events, the NOW Society aims to promote artistic expression and cultural exchange.
