Vancouver Power & Sail Squadron
Vancouver Power and Sail Squadron is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving boating safety through training, offering courses to the general public across Canada. As part of the Canadian Power and Sail Squadrons, a nationwide association of boating enthusiasts, Vancouver Squadron is one of 20 squadrons in the Pacific Mainland District, primarily located in the Greater Vancouver area. The organization provides a variety of courses, including its well-known "Boating Course", which teaches over 10,000 concerned boaters annually. Vancouver Power and Sail Squadron is incorporated under the Companies Act (Canada) and relies on its members for administrative and instructional work without remuneration. With its headquarters at the Vancouver Maritime Museum, the squadron aims to promote boating safety and education in the community.
