Kitchener-Waterloo Youth Orchestra

Kitchener-Waterloo Youth Orchestra is a community-based non-profit organization providing high-standard orchestral instruction and performance opportunities to Waterloo region's youth, ages 5 to 22, in a fun and safe environment. KWYO fosters inclusivity, equality, and accessibility, empowering students to develop transferable skills and thrive as individuals and team members. The organization offers four orchestras with progressive levels, from Preludium Strings to Youth Orchestra, with various instruments and skill levels. KWYO's mission is to bring together music-loving students through ensemble performance, culminating in concerts and competitions throughout the year. KWYO accepts students via audition and offers various registration options, including video-auditions and in-person opportunities.
