Language Assessment & Resource Centre
The Greater Essex County District School Boards Language Assessment and Resource Centre (LARC) is a free language assessment and referral service funded by Immigration, Refugee, and Citizenship Canada and the Ministry of Labour, Training and Skills Development, serving the Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent regions. LARC offers language training programs such as LINC, ESL, CLIC, and ELT, and provides information on available providers. Eligible individuals, including permanent residents, refugees, and certain others, can access these services for free. Language assessments can be scheduled through LARC or participating service providers, and the centre operates Monday through Friday. As a Scent-Free Workplace, visitors are asked to refrain from wearing perfume, cologne, or body spray.
