English at First
English At First is a registered charity school offering free English language instruction and support services to newcomers to Canada through the LINC program, providing childcare, transportation assistance, and high-quality education to those in need. Established in 1990, the school is contracted and funded by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada to deliver Literacy and CLB 4 English instruction. With the support of grants from the Kitchener and Waterloo Community Foundation, the school aims to empower newcomers to succeed in Canada. Located in Kitchener, the school offers a range of programs and services, including mobile computer labs and literacy evening classes.
