Learn more about lawn bowling
Lawn bowling, also known as bowls, is a precision sport in which players roll biased balls (called bowls) toward a smaller target ball known as the "jack" or "kitty." The goal is to get one's bowls closer to the jack than those of the opponent. Played on a flat, rectangular, manicured grass or synthetic surface called a bowling green, the game can be enjoyed individually or in teams. The bowls are weighted on one side, causing them to curve as they roll, which adds strategy and skill to each shot. Lawn bowling emphasizes accuracy, patience, and tactical thinking, making it a popular recreational and competitive activity, especially among older adults.
