TIES
The Immigrant Education Society, also known as TIES, is a Calgary-based organization dedicated to supporting newcomers and low-income Canadians in their journey to settle and thrive in the city. With a wide range of services, including language training, employment programs, childcare, and mental health support, TIES aims to provide comprehensive support to help individuals build a better life. As a registered charity, TIES has been serving the community since 1988 and has made a significant impact, serving over 30,000 clients in 2023. By providing opportunities for education, employment, and settlement, TIES strives to give newcomers and low-income Canadians a chance to find their rightful place in Calgary. Through its various programs and services, TIES continues to lead research and innovation in the development of newcomer programming.
