Special Olympics Ontario
Special Olympics Ontario is a registered charitable organization dedicated to providing year-round sports training and athletic competition for individuals with intellectual disabilities, promoting respect, acceptance, inclusion, and human dignity through sports. Founded over 40 years ago, the organization has grown to become the world's largest movement in this field. Special Olympics Ontario offers various programs and events, including the Annual Bowl-A-Thon, and is committed to developing physical fitness, courage, joy, and skills among its athletes. The organization is registered with the Ontario government and is grateful to work on the traditional territory of the Anishinabek, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee, and Ojibway/Chippewa peoples.
