Theatre Nova Scotia, DramaFest

Theatre Nova Scotia and DramaFest is a theatre organization dedicated to supporting theatre artists and the pursuit of theatre in Mikmaki, the unceded and unsurrendered land of the Mikmaq People. Based in Kjipuktuk, the organization is committed to learning and growing to better serve the local community and honour the treaties that cover the land. As a treaty people, they strive to create a positive and inclusive environment for artists and audiences alike. Theatre Nova Scotia and DramaFest aim to promote theatre as a powerful tool for storytelling and community building. By operating on the traditional lands of the Mikmaq People, they acknowledge their responsibility to respect and honour the history and culture of the region.
