Stephen Lias is a renowned composer of contemporary chamber and concert music, known for his evocative and skillfully designed pieces that capture the essence of the natural world. With a passion for wilderness and outdoor pursuits, Lias has written over a dozen park-related pieces that have been performed in various locations across the globe. His music is published by Alias Press and distributed worldwide by Theodore Presser, and he has served as Composer in Residence and Music Director at the Texas Shakespeare Festival. Lias is also the founder and leader of the annual Composing in the Wilderness program offered by the Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival and Alaska Geographic.
