The Winnipeg Roller Derby League is a skater-run and operated league dedicated to promoting the sport of women's flat track roller derby, fostering a fun, healthy, safe, and inclusive environment for all participants. Founded in 2008, the league offers various levels of competitiveness, including recreational leagues, fun scrimmages, and a WFTDA charter team, the Winnipeg Roller Derby League All-Stars. With a focus on community engagement and fundraising, WRDL strives to create a positive impact on the community. Roller derby is a fast-paced, full-contact sport played on roller skates, with a rich history dating back to the 1930s.
